Dear Customer Care Dept,
Please find enclosed a copy of my completed Sears “Home Appliance Promotion” along with sales check #----- which has previously been submitted. Please note that box in “step 1” has been filled in with the letter “A” contrary to the claim made in your letter of March 16, 2006 (enclosed).
I am confident that the form was filled out correctly since I was assisted by a Sears sales associate when filling out. Also note that I opened a Sears credit card to make this purchase also with the assistance of a Sears sales associate who assured me that I was eligible for the 10% rebate by purchasing this appliance with my new Sears account. I have since been billed for and paid in full the total amount of this purchase.
I am disappointed with such a well known name such as Sears trying to wiggle out of their end of this transaction. I do not see how Sears expects to retain customers with such blatant trickery. This was a simple transaction; you buy a product, fill out the rebate form and get your rebate. How many silly excuses and conditions are you going impose on your customers?
I am expecting to see my rebate check within 10-12 weeks from my date of submission February 20, 2006 or I will file a formal complaint.
