I just wanted to post a public Thank You to Andy Mitchell for going above and beyond in getting me back on the road. I had issues when I fired my engine up on Monday (May 15th). I ended up mushrooming 6 pushrods and was trying to leave for Ocean City and VMP that day. Well that didn't happen. It was late in the evening and everybody was closed so I couldn't get parts on Monday evening. Tuesday morning began with calls to every local speed shop and machine shop to see if anyone had 5/16" x 9.500 chromemoly pushrods in stock.........of course that was a long shot and nobody had any local. My next few hours were spent on the phone trying to get someone who had them in stock to air freight them to me along with a spare pair of Comp Cams solid roller lifters. I called just about every Pontiac business I knew of of trying to see who had them in stock. Nobody had them. I called Jegs and Summit who were also out of stock and told me the best they could do was one week. I then tried searching for Pontiac suppliers who I had never dealt with before including a few on the West Coast. I didn't even get return calls from some but I then called Andy Mitchell. He was very pleasant and understood my dire position. He offered to air freight them directly from Comp Cams to me so I could have them Wednesday morning. I said that would be great. Andy placed the order and followed through with it to make sure the ball didn't get dropped. I received the parts on Wednesday morning by 11:00am and had the car running by 2:00pm. This time there were no issues and I loaded it up on the trailer and went to Ocean City for the week long Cruisin event. I missed two days but I could have missed the whole event. I was so burned out from all the thrashing that I didn't want to make the 5 hour drive from Ocean City to Richmond for the Pontiacs in the Park event and then try to drive back the same day. I wanted to thank Andy in person in Richmond but I wasn't able to do that. Us East Coast guys seem to not think about the West Coast suppliers, but that has changed for me. Thanks again Andy!!! Here is a pic of me cruising the boardwalk in Ocean City Maryland thanks to Andy.

That's cool that Andy hooked you up. In the future if your in a pinch ry giving me a call. I could have drop shipped pushrods for you also. I could have also given you the phone# for Smith Bros who would have had them in stock. It's good to here he took care of you. Your car isn't orange anymore.

Anyone from Jeg's or Summit could have done the same, if they had truly wanted to. A drop-ship is a drop-ship. Luckily, you found someone that cared enough and didn't just concern themselves with the bottom line. Happens, but not often enough. Ron
