Another Pontiac powered Chevy truck

I have a 81 3/4 ton 2 wheel drive. I read some of the previous posts on this subject that said you just had to move the mounts up or down 1 hole. I have the trans bolted to a bare block and the mounts are 1 inch behind the holes so I have to slide the mount plates back and redrill the holes. My question is are the 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton frame mounts in the same position?

As far as I am aware of the 3/4 and 1/2 ton have the same mounting holes. What style of motor mounts are you using?

The mounts are the steel style and I think there from a 76 Grand Prix that had a 350 Pontiac. I also have 3 sets of mounts that are for the 78 and up A and G body cars with 301s. The bare block I'm using is a 70 YD with 5 mounting holes. Actually the drivers side is about 1 inch off, the passenger side is about 1 1/2 inches off. I'm using the Chevy trans with TCI adaptor. Also curious about the torque converter as it has 6 mounting lugs to bolt to the flexplate.

Unbolted the metal plates from the frame and engine crossmember and bolted to the frame & block mounts, bolted mounts to the block and set in place. Used the lower set of holes, the upper set is where the Chevy was. I didn't remove the trans crossmember. Now I'll have to drill the holes in the frame and remove engine and trans then drill holes in the engine crossmember. Engine thats going in is a 400 4 barrel out of a 1977 Trans Am.
