Pontiac in a 56 Chevy 210?

How hard would it be to put a '69 400 (would be stroked) in a 56 Chevy 210? I found a very good resto candidate and am considering picking it up. I think a Poncho in one of these cars would be pretty neat.

I can't say that I see any redundant post- ?. But in any case, a search of this forum will bring up a fair number of posts about it. I remember posting on a couple of threads about the '57 Chevy's that I put Pontiacs into. It was easier than some other Pontiac-swaps I've done.

It takes guts to do that to a '56 chevy. I like it! Keep us posted on how it turns out.

If using a stock set up, I can get pictures of the 57 Pontiac I have. The front where the 'ears' are on the bottom of the timing cover is where the stock front mounts were. We had a 421 in a 57 chevy and it was alot of fun to wax the chevy powered tri fives with. It was funny because the Gateway tri-five club wouldn't accept us as members unless we put a chevy in first. Sold the car with the Pontiac 421 about 3 years later. It still has a Pontiac engine in it, but now it's a 455 with 6X heads and instead of the 4 speed muncie, it now has a built 200r4. Still has the 3.64 geared Pontiac rear under it too.:D

If you are handy or know someone that is with doing a little fabrication work, it shouldn't be too tough. The do make a kits to put in a rear crossmember and a SB with side mounts in these cars. You might be able to work off of these to do the swap.
