Looking for a reputable body shop to do the stripping and painting on my TA. Looking for someone in the Chicagoland area preferably in the Western suburbs. Anyone have any experiance with any shops around my area?

These guys did a fantastic job on my car, fixing a hosed up job from another "restoration" shop. Talk to Danny, nice guy and takes his time to talk to you. Work is detailed and you know what you are paying for. My paint job came out great!!! My car shines deep.....

Keep in mind that they are busy, they have lots of cars in the shop, so you might want to call to see if their schedule fits with yours.

Another good shop is Old Coach Works, they are in Yorkville, IL, so that might be a little too far, but worth the trip to see them and at least get costs and see some quality restorations while there....

Use EXTREME caution, take your time to select the right shop.

If you want to add another possibility to your list, call Roto Lincoln Mercury, Mazda in Arlington Heights and talk to Butch Mortensen, the bodyshop manager. He helped me out with matching paint for a touch-up. Along the way, I found out that he was a car-restorer and that all of the guys in his shop are working on classic car projects of their own.

Try here www.thebumpshop.com . The guy who owns it is as honest as they come, and I have never seen better work, since probably ever. He is located in Rockford Ill, and will be starting on my Firebird soon, so I say give him a call and see what he can do for you!!

Best of Show in Naperville. They have a website. Just finishing up a 69 RAIV Judge. They repaired/restored a 70 Olds OAI hood for me and it is OUTSTANDING!!!!! I've got some other small things they are going to be doing for me shortly.

I went to Olds Coach Works about a year ago and wasn't too impressed. I took one of my W-31s with me and the guy said I'm looking at AT LEAST 20K to do the car. (I know the body needs a ton of work) He also wanted me to install a hemi in the car. Or a crate chevy. I'm sure they do good "general" work, but I wouldn't take a BOP car there. Or maybe if it was just body panel work/replacement, but full restoration, not a chance.

Thanks everyone for your input. I stopped by Best of Show and was able to spend some time with Jim and see what he had in the works. I was very impressed and the fact that he is very close to my home makes it even better. He seems like a very honest and strightforward kind of guy, and he had some very nice vehicles. I saw your Judge looks like it's gonna be SWEET!! Thanks again to everyone.
