Mike's Tripowers, A True Gentleman

I bought a center carburator from Mike 2 years ago to go on my 65 GTO that I am doing a frame off restoration. I had blocked of the front and rear carb openings to make sure that I didn't get carried away before the engine was broken in. Today I went to install the front and rear carbs and put the vacuum "T" on the center card for the vacuum advance and modulator. The "T" that I bought, paid big money for, wouldn't allow the carb to seat because it interfered with the PCV fittings. After playing around for the afternoon trying to figure out what I could do, I decided to contact Mike's Tripowers. I emailed him and he emailed back and gave me his phone number and when I called he wasn't in so I left my number and told him to call me collect. About an hour later my phone rang and it was Mike. I explained to him my problem and he took the time to go out into his garage and get a "T" and mount it on a carb. The problem turned out that the "T" that I bought that was supposed to be for a 65 was for a 66.

I am so impressed with a person who would take the time on Their dime to help me with a problem that he in no way would benefit other than trying to help someone out.

Mike lives right down the street from me and he's a great guy period!! You should see all the tri powers that he's got in his shop!! My jaw hit the floor the first time I saw them all. He also does Olds tripowers and sells the new Barry Grant Six Shooters. Additionally, he's got a CD that he sells that's got a lot of picures of various tripower setups and info on it.

Agreed, Mike rebuilt my tripower last year and will always be there to answer any question or concern, and does so with a smile. A great communicator, he'll always promptly return calls and emails. You'll never feel he's annoyed by your questions, unlike many in this hobby. Mike is the real deal...an assest to the hobby.

As mentioned in another post he produced his own information packed dvd that's an invaluable resource, and every tripower owner should spring for this $20 dvd.

I bought a complete '65 Tripower setup from Mike and liked it, however I decided that I needed a '66 manifold. Mike found me an elusive (PY was out of stock) aluminum intake and redid my carbs to take advantage of the bigger center opening. As a novice I asked many, many questions and called at all hours.

Mike was considerate and helpful in all of my contacts, and like others on this forum, I would recommend him highly.
