Ordered a pair of slicks from Jeg's. $11.99 Handling charge, $17.98 non-box charge, & $24.98 rural route charge. I'm 2 miles from city limits on the highway. Had them shipped to my son's shop (business address) & saved the $24.98.

Agreed its nonsense. I wanted some copper header flange gaskets and shipping was 3'x the amount of the gaskets. Total BS, Ill wait till I need something more $$$.

Yeah I notice something similar too. 59.99 oil pickup, that was backordered, paid 11.99 shipping and handling, 2.25 area charge (in town business) and a hazmat fee (on an oil pickup?). Could have saved about $20 using our regular warehouse but they said 6-8 weeks..... Oh well.

I love when you buy one or two -10AN fittings and you get charged the standard $9.99. No way in he!! that it cost them that much to ship, but oh well whatcha gonna do.

I look at the local speed shop before ordering from Jeg's or Summit. If the price is more than the shipping charge I order from Jeg's or Summit, if not or the same I buy from the speed shop.

I wait until I have a list before I Jeg's it. The non-box fee is crap. Stick the tire in a box, what's so hard???
