I would like to Thank Don from DCI for the help he gave me on my rear main leak. The first time I built my engine I used the cadillac rear main trick, it leaked a little every now and then. I swapped to a solid roller setup this year and freshened up the bottom end, So I decided to try the BOP seal I had been hearing about, spent the 40$ followed the instructions to the T and got the motor back in the car, after about an hour of run time I started noticing smoke on the passenger side of the engine, problem the rear main leaking on the flywheel which threw the oil on the header, the leak was unacceptable. I read about this new rope seal from DCI and called them up, I got ahold of Don who is a cool cat, He sold me the rear and and a pan set(by the way the nicest pan set Ive ever put on) and gave me plenty of advice on how to install the seal. Once the seal and gaskets arrived, I installed them, I have been hard driving a month on these and not one drop of oil has came out of my engine.
What I am trying to get across is this rope seal of his will get that oil leak monkey off your back, and by the way the rope seal is half the price of that BOP leaker.
THANKS DON
