I just got off the phone with them and had to post about it! I've been in/around customer service type groups off and on for 25 years and I have never encountered anything as good as the service I just received!

I wanted to add a Hydraboost system to my 71 bird - tired of fighting brakes with only 11" of vacuum. The research I did pointed me to Hydratech.

Answered the phone right away - walked me through my system and what I'd need to do - specifically to a 2nd gen F-Body! Considerate, polite, took time with me, very detailed on what, how and when. Very satisfied with the experience! I'll post pics on the install when done next weekend.

Good information.....I'm leaning toward the same system for my Lemans, but learned that you need to power it via power steering, which I don't have.....do you know if they have a unit that runs some other way. I heard good things about this company....

You may be able to use the PS pump for the brakes exclusively- or simply run a tandem 83-87 S10 9" booster- we did one on a customers 69 Lemans with a nasty 428, worked very well.

I'm dealing with a leaky unit in an '88 C 3500 right now, PITA. Rebuild kits are available, but I don't know if it's worth the headache over just adding a vacuum can for a car with low vacuum...It costs the same for a rebuild kit as it does for a standard vac booster, and I've only found the kit available from one place (in NC). Rebuilt replacements run a couple hundred dollars when (not if) the unit starts to leak...Go check the yards for trucks with the hydraboost and see if you can find one in there that's not crusted up from leaking. They all leak at some point. Luckily they're pretty easy to repair, but I can't imaging I'd go to that trouble or expense to get power brakes working. $700 is a LOT of money and you're adding complexity and weight...You might try the '81 ta aluminum booster (could be the same as the s10 unit scarebird is talking about) as it is lighter and provides more boost...

Paul is fantastic. I can't say enough good about this man and his dedication to providing outstanding service to his customers. Top notch. I'm pleased with the system.
I have let 2 veteran car guys (engine builder and transmission builder) drive my car. Both said it had the best aftermarket braking system they have ever experienced. And believe me, these guys really know their cars .....
Worth every penny!
