Hi, I'm a regular PY'er and also co-owner of Cool Concepts Performance Coatings, a ceramic and powder coating shop based in Iowa. We've been open for a year now, and are offering our services to you guys on PY.
Check out our website: www.coolconceptspc.com for further details.
Our ceramic coats have an effective heat range of 1600F - 2000F. That's metal surface temperature, not exhaust gas temperature.
We offer the following colors in ceramic:
Cermashine - 1600F. A shiny "chrome-like" coating.
Semi-Gloss Black - 2000F. Just like the name says.
Satin Black - 2000F. Very popular with the Harley crowd!
Titanium - 2000F. A light grey brand-new cast metal look.
Cast Iron Grey - 2000F. Standard iron grey, a little darker than Titanium.
All of our ceramic coats include an inner 2000F barrier as well. Prep is included in the prices below. Blasting of existing ceramic coats are outsourced for $40.
Pontiac V-8 headers (pair):
Cermashine - $225; Long Tube/Competition - $265
All others - $185; Long Tube/Competition - $225
Pontiac V-8 manifolds (pair):
Satin Black, Semi-Gloss Black, Cast Iron Grey and Titanium - $150
We've tested A LOT of different ceramics (and wasted a lot of money) and these are the ones that stand up to our standards, i.e. what we'd expect from someone else if we had to pay for it AND be happy enough with the work to put on our cars.
Average temp drop under the hood of a V-8 with ceramic coated headers is 130-200F.
Three Year Satisfaction Guarantee.
We also offer complete underhood ceramic/powdercoating packages starting at $395! Send in all your brackets, hood hinges, headers, etc. for one low price. Powdercoat suspension packages for pass. car, truck & 4x4, motorcycle ceramic/powder packages too!
PM me on here or through our website for additional questions.
