Good "DUDE"?

It seems that the Pontiac dude has a good reputation - does everyone agree? His motors seem to be priced reasonably - any first hand experence with his stuff?

Never built anything for me, but I've bought thousands of dollars of parts from him and also was under his tutelage with my nitrous combination. He's a straight shooter that stands behind his work and is a wealth of knowledge.

He lives the sport - knows first hand from old school "getter done motors" to high tech NOS systems and Pro Chargers. He's well rounded... plus is a nice guy. I put him in the Top 3 Engine builders/etc.

He is Stroking my 400 as we speak, will let you know in a month or so. I am planning to visit him when he is ready to start up/break in the motor before shipping it up to me.


I think he is shooting to have it ready for me by the first snow :( LOL

Here is a question: what do you do if you have a brand new motor in your ride and you cant drive it because of winter weather:
1. "visit" the garage daily and have some tea with it?
2. repeatedly wax and polish the valve covers?
3. have it shipped down south and move there?

P Dude built my 455, its a daily driver and I drive it year round in the Northeast weather.

I had planned years ago to go with Butler when I was ready to build, but Kens prices were more affordable and he reputation is also great.

I have one "complaint": he is working on numerous other projects and did not put them aside to build my engine. I had to wait in line just like anyone else LOL

I see now...... so that is how he makes his money........ build engines at a reasonable price, BUT when you go there to see him, unsuspectingly, his soda machine rips you off.
