Recently, I ordered a set of tripower throttle bodies for some end carbs from Vintage Speed
http://vintagespeed.com/

No issues with these, as they are very high quality, precision pieces and I'm satisfied with them. However, before ordering, I did a little research and checked around a bit......

I found out that the throttle bodies marketed by Joe at The Parts Place have stamped throttle blades (not machined) and that they're very low quality pieces (if not altogether junk), so I steered clear of them. I believe these are the same pieces that PY markets.......

Anybody have any luck with the Performance Years 66 tripowers or are they utilizing these same junk throttle bodies on their tripowers, too?

Your title scared me - I just ordered a set from Vintage Speed on Tuesday. Glad to hear that they are quality pieces. I have no personal experience with PY's or TPP's throttle bodies, but I was specifically steered to Vintage Speed by someone who would know what was best.

Performerrpm,

Glad to hear your throttlebodies look good. The big question....Is the car running? And, if so, can you get it to idle at reasonable rpm?
