Its a 79 TA that had original 403 & Turbo hood on it. I need to know if this TURBO hood is going to clear when I put a Pontiac 455 in the car. They are picking up the car today & need to know whether to send the hood with it, or if I have to buy a fiberglass cowl hood to replace.

They are picking up the car today & need to know whether to send the hood with it, or if I have to buy a fiberglass cowl hood to replace.Any Pontiac V8 will fit under a standard flat hood in these cars, the turbo hood will work fine. A 455 engine is not any bigger physically than a 350 or 400 Pontiac engine.
You may already know Pontiac 400 engines were available in Firebirds for the '79 model year, the final year of 400 production.
