I gave Jim Butler Performance a call last week. I ask for a Tech. so he could assist me in ordering the correct part. He was a very polite man and did offer some small talk but he seem to know absolutely nothing about the products he was selling. Please get some people on the phone that can offer some real assistance. I would have spent more $$ if I could have got the correct Info.

My second call was to Ames. I was checking on an order I had placed. The lady on the phone acted like a real ^%*#. She scolded me for having 3 customer numbers. I don’t know why I have 3 customer #s?? I didn’t put it in the computer. Maybe someone can tell me why I have 3#s in the system?
Can you guys at Ames give this lady Friday off? She’s going to run off all your customers acting like that.

Makes me appreciate Stacy……….

I bought my hedman shorty headers from Butler, I went to there web site and the headers were 239. I couldn't order them online for some reason so I called them and the the total was almost 300 with shipping I said the amount should be 250 with shipping according to your web site. He stated that that would be like giving the headers to me, I said well I am not making this price up it's on your web site. He then said he will check into it and lowered the price but he did not lower it to what was on there web site. I should not have been held for the price increase when there web site is wrong, I looked at there web site and nothing has been changed. If you go to a store and the price is marked at something other than what it rings up as they usually honor that price.

i know that EVERY advertised price needs to be confirmed at time of ordering, just as if it's in stock.
They all reserve the right to change - since the beginning of time.
Jegs, Summit, Sears, Staples, Butler, Ames - YOU must confirm price and availability when you call.
I'm suprised Butler was not up on parts or honored the website price - next time, ask to talk to Jim himsel before you order or get mad.
He will likley make it right.
These guys don't have devoted webmasters - it would increase OUR cost.
Getting Jim, Rodney or David on the phone is worth an extra day wait - in my experience since the 90's.

I totally agree with Chiefs statement! I once shot the sh t with Jim Butler about my cam selection for almost an hour! I believe the Butlers to be good people and if there is a problem I almost guarantee they will make it good.......

My item was shipped and I received it within 3 or 4 days. I plan on buying from Butler again, I have also recommended them many times to people. I know prices change, but I think you need to stay on top of your web site it would only take a few minutes to change the price to the current price.

Im also in agreement with Chief, the Butlers are top notch in my book, when i was putting one of my motors together about6 years ago there was some delay in getting my E-heads, and getting them assembled, but David himself called me numerous times to keep me updated, without me having to make a call, have also talked with Jim on the phone, just a great Pontiac family with great quality service and fair prices.

Jim Butler is the "figure head" of Butler Performance and has basically stepped aside and left the business aspects to David and Rodney. Sometimes Jim isn't prevy on all the parts and prices, so talking with David, Rodney or Chase is your best bet on getting the information you need.
