TRANS AM FLORIDA Cry TRANSAM FLORIDA Cry TRANSAM FLORIDA Cry TRANS AM FLORIDA Cry TRANS AM FLORIDA Cry TRANS AM FLORIDA Cry
I bought a 6000 mile 89 turbo From Rick at Trans am Florida about 6 months ago. I bought it sight unseen. (yeah I know) I trusted that Rick would tell me the truth. Well, I got bamboozled! He mentioned that there were just a few minor scuffs, but the rest of the car was like new. Car arrives at my house. Couldn't back the car off because the battery was dead(big mess ill get to that later) as it was rolling off the truck I noticed that the exhaust was different replacement factory $1,600.00, I had to push the car three blocks to a repair facility. Next morn. the facility calls me and tell me the car needs a fuel pump. $500.00. "ok" Charges the battery gets car running just long enough to get me half way to Pontiac. (going for complete service) I call tow truck $147.00. Car arrives at Pontiac service tech runs it in does complete check - Front light motors are dead, ac not working, rear trunk latch (electric one) broken, $3138.00, but thats not all...So, the rear spoiler has a crack in it (i was told that by him, but a small repairable one) took it to a shop and found that the inside on the spoiler was rotten and needed to be replaced. $850.00, it gets better. I was told the car came with all the books and special 89 turbo stuff. All the books where there, but no special 89 turbo stuff. Bret led me to a complete kit. $950.00, the Tires weren't original $800.00, the rear of the car was repainted, the factory radio wasnt with the car as promised another $300.00 installed. And the to top off this complete screw job I get a title that shows EXEMPT! Rick was kind enough to refund me $900.00.
Ok, here is where you are gonna say im a complete IDIOT. I bought another car from him for a business associate hoping he would make good on the last deal. I explained in detail that I want to know everything. 1987 IROC Convert RED RED. Exact same situation. Oh, just a chip here and there, little fade on the spoiler that will buff out... The paint on the car is trashed! sun damaged, chips all over, every panel has scratches, runs for 3 mins and dies. Total TURD. So, not that my Biz associate is extremely disappointed, I am refunding his entire amount plus shipping and sending the car back to Rick who will not refund the $. I am so disappointed in him. Gave him a second chance and Screwed me again. Im a very serious collector of Trans ams and require people to be honest. I have had super luck with the Trans am community, but Rick from Trans am Florida has got me twice. If anyone ones else has has similar situations please PM me. Thanks!
