Jimmy Lundrigan, a good customer from Ocala way, came by the shop with his 67 bird ragtop. Finally got it tuned out.

428 tri-power 4 spd. Ford 9". Nice ride. He Loves the tri-power. He bought the whole BG package.

We did the shortblock with a hyd roller and all the piece work. He assembled it. Had a few bugs to work out but it flies. He says it gets over 12 mpg and when he kicks it it just lights up the tires. And has won quite a few trophies with it right out of the box. Nice and different looking set up under the hood.

Looks like a nice clean install! I like what was done with the air cleaner...never thought of that before. Good job.

Great info and pix Dude! I have been hoping for one of the expert Pontiac folks like you to get your hands on one and provide some feedback on it. My guess is your customer is one of the few around who have bought and tried one. Sounds like a happy camper!

BIG THANKS! Jim

No major issues as the customer installed it and tuned it out. I just made sure it fit his heads, gasket matched the ports to his heads.

Very few aftermarket performance or upgraded parts or going out side a stock replacement rebuild or install is ........... Plug and play.

Just common sense and a some mechanical ability. I have seen people screw up the Factory Tri-power. LOL.

BTW: He told me he is gonna Powder coat the Cleaner with still the same detail to match the engine in the future.
