Here is a story of my, not so great, experience with PY member Fast Floridian.

I responded to this add for a NOS system,

"Nitrous Oxide System, Cheater, Wet, 150-250 hp, 10 lb. Bottle, Blue, Square Bore, 4-Barrel, Kit includes extra dominator plate kit is new never used $515.00 in Summit without the extra plate need money for PIP in Virginia 400.00 +shipping"

I called the seller & got the details & agreed to buy the system. He asked if I wanted the dominator plate & I told him that I did & that it was one of the reasons I wanted the system. He told me it would be a few days because he had to get the dominator plate back from a buddy.

On 5-6-08 I sent a postal M.O. for the total.

On 5-12-08 I sent a message to the seller and learned that he had not received the M.O. (It should have been there in a day) The lady at the post office said it's not uncommon for a letter to get mis-bar coded and sent to the wrong place.

On 5-15-08 I sent another M.O. with all the tracking options & signature required. It arrived the next day, 5-16-08.

On 5-23-08 I sent a message & asked if the MO had shown up & got this response:
"I had to go to post office and sign for it. I will ship the Nos kit in the morning"

On 5-31-08 I get a promise to ship in a couple of days.

On 6-7-08 another promise to ship or meet up with me.

On 6-11-08, the kit shows up...... less bottle brackets, jets, & dominator plate.

When I ask about the missing items, this is the response I got:
"I got the jets in the box I just got to find them they are still in the little plastic box somewhere around this house. I have never had brackets since I bought it. I think you can get a stainless steel set on ebay for 14 bucks. I didnt know you want the 4500 plate I can throw that in if you buy brackets let me know"

6-15-08:
"Dont worry, I will find the jets and get the plate to you just give me a couple days to track it all down"

6-23-08:
"I want you to know I havent forgotten about this. Im still looking. I will up date you again in a couple days"

7-9-08:
"Dude, I have already started looking to find a plate on ebay for you. As soon as I got It I will ship the jetts too......Hey do you want the money back? I dont want trouble I got a good rep on the website"

7-17-08:
I send him the links to Summit, Jegs, & an eBay auction for new dominator plates. All cost right at $179.

7-18-08:
"I cant afford that much. Send me the kit back and I will return your money and shipping sorry"

Sorry. After all of this I'm not about to send the kit back & wait on my money. :rolleyes:

Here's a letter I sent to him on 7-18-08:

I’m curious, did you ever have a dominator plate?
What happened to it?

When I called you about this deal, you specifically asked me if I wanted the dominator plate. When I told you I did & that one of the biggest reasons that I was buying the kit was that I needed the square bore and 4500 plates for the different intakes I have, you told me that it would take you a couple of days to get it because a buddy had it. I had a feeling right then that there was a problem with the 4500 plate.

Then it took 27 day from when the second money order arrived for the kit to get here. My confidence with the transaction at this point was almost nonexistent. Then I find that there is no bottle bracket, jets, or 4500 plate in the nitrous kit that was advertised as “…Kit includes extra dominator plate kit is new never used…”

Then you tell me that you don’t have the brackets, the jets are “somewhere around this house” and “I didnt know you want the 4500 plate I can throw that in”. Yet you specifically asked me if I wanted the 4500 plate when I first talked to you.

As it stands right now, I am out a total of more than $764 (There’s still a $382 money order floating around out there) for a kit that wasn’t as advertised.

Needless to say, this hasn’t been a pleasant experience for me.

Send a Postal Money Order for $409.18 ($382 + $27.18 for shipping) & I’ll send the kit out UPS ground.

Later that day, I receive a check from the post office for the first, lost, money order.

7-27-08:
"Jeff, I hope you find the other money order I truly apologize for the hassle. I havent heard back from Chad I found out from his Dad he is on Drugs so I dont have everything I promised. I would like to make this right. I am presently biding on a double set of cheater plates. I will it to you as soon as the auction ends. The nos pills are cheap and I can buy them seperate. write back and tell me if its to late to fix this"

I respond back that evening to just send a Postal Money Order for $409.18. ASAP

7-30-08:
"look for your check after the 5th"

8-12-08:

Take out the Post Office screw up losing the first money order and in a few days it will have been 3 months since he received his money.
I hate giving bad reviews, but he has been extremely slow in delivering on his promises and has given multiple excuses for his delays.
That being said, he has delivered. ...so far. I don't know if I will see the promised check after he reads this or not, but either way, I will post the results here.

Wow. This surprises me. A person who told me they were sending me money on 5/6 was told how to go to the Post office purchase a postal money order and send it to me signature required failed to do so. Notice on your allegations you mentioned that you said you sent the money on 5/6, however I saw no money until 5/31. You strung me out for a month trying to get the money and as GTO Lou said and many others on this website, I could've sold the kit to someone else.

OK. On 5/6/08 I got a Postal Money Order at the post office & mailed it to you. When I got about a block away, I realized that I didn’t send it “signature required” and turned around, but when I got back to the post office, it was already closed. (5:03pm).

When I had not received the kit or heard from you in 6 days, I sent you a message asking if you got the M.O. because I knew you needed it soon. When you said that you did not receive it, I took the chance that you were telling the truth & sent ANOTHER money order on 5/15/08. This time with tracking & signature required. It arrived the next day 5/16/08. NOT on 5/31/08.

I sent you a "complete kit" with a plate for a Holley Carb. I also had a dominator plate and you told me later that you wanted the dominator plate.

When I first called you about this system, you specifically asked me if I wanted the dominator plate and I said "Yes. This is one of the main reasons I wanted this kit." You then told me that it would take few days to find the plate. You also told me that everything was new except the lines because you had used the new lines in your car. I told you that this was ok with me.
Also, if you remember correctly, you told me that I was not the first caller, but the other person tried to talk you down to $380 instead of the $381.72 you were asking and you didn't want to deal with them.
BTW, your ""complete kit" with a plate for a Holley Carb." was missing the brackets and jets, not to mention the dominator plate.

The kit was shipped on 6/7, notice that I was a little upset that you jerked me around for a month waiting for the money when I could've sold it to someone else on this website. If you notice there was only 6 days from the time you sent the money to the time when the kit was at your door.

As a school teacher, I would think that your math would be a little better than that.
The second money order arrived on 5/16/08. The kit was at my door on 6/11/08. By my math, that comes out to be 26 days from the time the money arrived to the time that the kit was at my door.

Yes, I did make a mistake and didn't send brackets. I was willing to send you a dominator plate because you were going to return to me the Holley plate and you said, "never mind the brackets, I am going to keep the extra plate."

This is an outright lie.
I NEVER agreed to send back the square bore plate. The subject never even came up.

You told me then that you wanted the dominator plate, so because I was unable to recover mine from a friend I went on Ebay and purchased you a $135.00 plate plus shipping.

On 7/9/08 you said you were looking for one on ebay & asked if I just wanted my money back. When I sent you the links to several dominator plates on ebay, you said they cost too much & to just send back the kit & you will refund my money.

I told you I would ship it to you and you decided later that you wanted your money back. I don't have a problem with that, except that everything that you have told me up to now has been misleading. I am now out a nitrous kit and I have spent over $130.00 of my money to make sure you had a plate that worked for your set up. For your information and proof the ebay auction number has been added to this post so others can see that I'v done my part to please you. Item number: 280248349464.

To top it off you have not returned not even one of the thirty calls I have personally made to your cell phone.

On 9/10/08, the only call I have received from you, you left a message about meeting me sometime and if i brought the kit to you, you would have a check for me. Sorry, but I doubt that there is a person on this board that would take a check from you if they were in my position.

You want to go back on the deal after I spent money trying to please your every whim fine,
If you call asking for what I PAID FOR my "every whim", then you might want to look up the definition of "every whim."

but you won't get any money from me until I see that kit personally and that it is complete. The next time you purchase something on this website don't take a month to ship someone the money and expect less than six days shipping for them to ship it back to you.
From the time I sent the first m.o. to the time that you received the second one was a total of 10 days.
The first m.o. was lost by the post office. I received a refund from them on 7/18/08. But when I sent out a second m.o. to you on 5/15/08, I had no way of knowing that for sure.

Notice that I haven't attacked your character Except to post here a different story than what actually happened in essence calling me a liar.

and if you will return my phone call I only live 30 min. from you and I will gladly meet you to pick up my kit (hopefully, still in the package) and I will return you your money at that time. By the way, no one on this website has ever sent me any money that I haven't sent it back to them if there was a problem. I will be calling you back tomorrow let's see if you will answer my call THIS time.

I sent out a new MO today. This one is certified, signature required.
The lady at the post office said that it should be there by Friday or Saturday. She thinks that the other one may have got stuck in a machine or mis-barcoded & sent to the wrong place. :rolleyes:

Ok so you did make the money order early but you cannot deny that it took 1 month before you made another one and sent it because that one got lost. When this deal started off I intended it to go well but because it obviously hasn't the only thing left to ask is.... Do you have the parts I sent you still in the box. I will refund you the amount of the money order you sent me in cash, when do you want to meet? PM me with a date and time preferably this Saturday.

Yes. I can deny that it took me a month to send another one.
I sent the second money order out on 5/15 and it arrived on 5/16.
5/6/08 to 5/16/08 equals 10 days. Not 31.

I want you to know that I have prayerfully considered how to answer you concerning this matter. I don't understand why you posted any of this. All this could've been resolved with one phone call. On Ebay, if you feel that you can't trust the person you're dealing with you call and resolve any questionable issues you might have. Until this day, I have never personally spoken to you. I don't know why that is. After asking me to send you your money back I tried to call you and find out what the problem was. I felt I couldn't trust you after the questionably late money order issue. As you can see I always attempted to give you a dominator plate and the proof is I bought one on Ebay for you. I have the plate and the jets, however, after you have posted what you have on this website, I am refusing to do business with you any further.
For your information the people that you posted this to are like my extended family. For the last 20 years, I have raced with these guys from Norwalk, to Englishtown even down to Moroso and have sold thousands of dollars worth of merchandise on this website without any complaints. Just about everyone on this website knows us. Yet you without returning a phone call decide to slander my name. I have always been very willing to resolve any issues in a fair and considerate manner, however, I just don't feel confident that any of these issues will ever be resolved. So, for this reason, I have decided to go ahead and send you back the $382.00 you sent me in a postal money order(signature required) so that you can send me back my kit complete still in the box.

Please PM me with the correct address so that I may refund you your money.

I called you & spoke to you when we first made this deal, then I called you again when the first money order got lost to let you know that another was on the way. When I spoke to you that time, you told me that you were out of town.

As stated in an earlier post, the only message that you have left me was on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 6:27pm. In it, you mention meeting me sometime and you would bring a CHECK to trade for the nitrous kit.

During this entire process I have been patient and polite. I have only asked that you deliver what you promised. When you told me that you were unable to deliver, you asked if I wanted my money back. First on 7-9-08 and then again on 7-18-08 you said
"I cant afford that much. Send me the kit back and I will return your money and shipping sorry Marcos"
It was then that I said
"Send a Postal Money Order for $409.18 ($382 + $27.18 for shipping) & I’ll send the kit out UPS ground."

After more promises, you still failed to deliver.
It was more than a month later when you PM'd to meet up with me and make the exchange, I gave you my number again and told you what would work for me. It took another 2 weeks before you actually called and said that you wanted to set up a day to meet & that were going to bring a check to pay for the kit.

Let me re-cap:
I have only asked for you to deliver what was agreed on.

When you could not deliver the parts, you offered to refund my money.
When I agreed to that, you still failed to come through.

Only after you had a reasonable amount of time to honor your end of the bargain did I post a synopsis of what happened. In that post I only posted facts and did not interject any comments or name calling. The only comment I made was at the end which reads as follows:
Take out the Post Office screw up losing the first money order and in a few days it will have been 3 months since he received his money.
I hate giving bad reviews, but he has been extremely slow in delivering on his promises and has given multiple excuses for his delays.
That being said, he has delivered. ...so far. I don't know if I will see the promised check after he reads this or not, but either way, I will post the results here.

In conclusion, there are only three outcomes to this that I see.

1) You send me a dominator plate and a set of nitrous jets for a cheater system as you had advertised & we agreed on.

2) You send me a money order in the amount of $409.18 ($382 + $27.18 for shipping) & I will send the kit out UPS ground.

3) You decide not to do any more business with me & refuse to honor your end of the deal.

The choice is yours.

Today I opened the nitrous box, (it had been sealed up since July), took a couple of pictures, resealed it, then scheduled a UPS pickup for 10-02-08.
