Well, I decided to order a set of Wheel Vintiques Rally II's for my car a few weeks ago through Summit Racing. They arrived in two days, looked good and had new tires mounted. After one night, the right rear and the left front were flat. Took them back to the tire shop to check them out. Well, both rims had tiny holes in the bead weld. Kind of a needle in a haystack, so I called Summit and they sent replacements. One of the replacements had been previously mounted and wobbled horribly on the balancer W/O a tire on it! I called and they over-nighted a replacement. All was well, or so I thought. this morning the passenger front was very low on air. Took it in, and sure enough it had a VERY tiny hole in the bead weld of the rim. Are you kidding me? The price through Summit is much cheaper than buying direct from Wheel Vintiques which leads me to believe they might be getting seconds? I can't believe that with any sort of quality control that I could end up with four wheels that you can't even use for boat anchors!
Anyone else have any similar issues with Wheel Vintiques wheels?????:censored:

I had wheel vintique build me a set of custom slick rims and they are perfect. I am very pleased, the quality is top shelf. Call Wheel Vintique and inquier, I am sure they will fix you up.

I have never dealt with them but have heard a number of horror stories about there magnum 500 wheels over on a charger sight I am on so i dont think yours is an isolated incedent.

Summit has replaced each wheel in a very timely fashion, so I have been very pleased with there customer service and help. However, I find it hard to believe that with an ounce of quality control that I could experience this. Every wheel that didn't leak or have a hole in it has a blemish somewhere on it. With the reduced price, I am convinced that they are selling seconds!!

I called Wheel Vintiques about a month ago to get some information regarding after market wheels for my '65 Catalina 2+2. Ready? Get this. The guy on the other end of the phone told me, "WE DON'T DO CATALINAS!" I said , "Excuse me". He emphatically said again, "WE DON'T DO CATALINAS!" Yet they advertise in every magazine as a Pontiac merchant.

WHAT? Are you saying that Rally wheels came from Pontiac with tubes?

Yes, Atleast thats what i have been told from my friend who has an All original 67 GTO the original bias plies have tubes supposedly PMD was not to worried about the wheels leaking cause they used tubes, I am not saying this is 100% true but his car he bought in 67 has them

My Wheel Vintiques were ordered through Summit and dropped shipped directly from W.V. My rears were custom offsets and the fronts were out of the catalog - both sets arrived together. Only problem is the fronts were mis-boxed, and had the wrong bolt pattern - Summit got the new ones sent right out. Rims with holes in them are not seconds, they're just big manufacturing screw ups and a result of terrible quality control.

Stopped by Summit today to look at the vintique Rally II's on display. Thinking they would be easier than repainting the ones I have.
Someone had scratched the charcoal paint with their fingernail, not just one but several someones... The wheel looked like h3ll. Tried it myself & the charcoal gray came off like a scratch off lottery ticket.
Asked the counter guy about the rims & he said they have had to replace several sets due to quality control issues... From what I seen today I'll take a pass...

A few years back I got a set of 15-inch Wheel Vintiques Rally II's to replace my 14 inchers. Had new tires mounted, etc. Went to put the center caps on and found one that the notches were not there! Of course, it's too late to do anything about it. Made the cap fit, and it's still there today. Just a heads up to check before mounting.

i ordered the 15x7 ralley 2's for my lemans, all was good from summit, except the silver and grey paint arent an exact factory match, and one wheel has begun to rust right where the wheel is welded together..no biggie, but i have had no leaks or run-out probs..put bias tires on and all is well 2 yrs later....

I have ordered from Jegs and made a special request to get with out paint. Worked out nice and no extra charge. Once received you could really look them over and paint them the colors you want.

I also ordered WV rally II's through summit...I waited and waited till I had enough money to purchase the wheels and tires. I saved enough finally and placed my order through Summit (15x10s) Well they were on back order and took 4 weeks to deliver them to my house. Well I was excited, bought some MT street radials to put on there, spent the money to get the mounted/balanced, went to install them....well 1 fit, the other one didnt have the correct bolt pattern (it was close, but did not fit!) So I was pissed, called summit and they worked with WV to get me a new rim as quick as possible (couple days later I got it) so I pay to have the tire removed from the 1 wheel and put on the new 1...they are next to eachother and I noticed a obvious difference in paint color (not different colors but definatly not a perfect match)
I couldnt believe this problem after all that time this would happen....At that point I just dealt with it, I was just happy to get the wheels/tires on so I could drive the damn car!
Looking back, I wish I had sent both wheels back so they would match, not to mention it looks like a 10 year old painted the lines on the wheels(but I am just gonna deal with it) on the positive side, my tires have never loss any air, you can see the weld beads on them but it is what it is.
