Well guys as some of you mentioned it looks as if i got took for $265 bucks... I've givin this guy Rob Johnston every chance to make a mens and he never returns my messages.
So i'm giving everyone a shout out DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! He seems to just want to scam you out of your cash. I've givin him several calls and got no response so my next step is to call everyday and send a copy of the money order to the majestrate there in Toronto and push this as far as i can...
Don't You just hate when you can't trust any business....

One of my 1st posts a few years ago on this forum was about how this guy screwed me out of a couple hundred bucks. Good old Rob Johnson. I see the name Show Cars Body Parts from time to time in my Hot Rod magazine. I am amazed he is still in business.
Good luck to you.

I too have had bad experiences with him. I ordered an old tunnel ram pro stock scoop from him last year. I used PayPal thank goodness.... Got my money back after being called everything under the sun:oogle:... lot's of F bombs out of that dude and no scoop....:third: By the way, he comissions various glassers to make this stuff. He got so PO'ed that he had ME call the "guy" in California who was to make it. "Guy" never received payment two months after I sent Showcar the money. A slacker in every sense of the word. I wound up using a guy in Alliance OH $65.00 there in a week. Found him on Ebay. Glasstek is the best for best quality and fitment. Lead times also have been accurate as well

I think we all should keep a note on here for these bad businesses that are out to rip people off or at least in a good location so none of our other PY members get dooped by these kind of guys... Here is the latest...
I emailed him and said i had contacted the majestrate there and was sending a copy of the receipt and if he wanted to get this straight he needed to contact me. I recieved a call this morning and after a few choice words to him he said the part would be here on Monday.. Short but sweet so i guess i'll find out on Monday whether i need to take this any further...

If you sent the money to him through the US mail. File a claim with the PO. It's called mail fraud.

Ah, come on, don't place all us good businesses on the same level as this guy. I think most businesses are good to deal with, it's just the few like this that screw things up.

I found my last email to this guy. Thought I would share it with all of you. This was for a valance for a 74 firebird that did not fit. This was his response after several weeks of emails and unreturned phone calls.

So, I pay a couple hundred bucks for something that does not work, he wants me to pay to send it back to him and then pick something else from him and then pay more to ship it back to me again? I have written off my loss as a learning experience. I got screwed.

Another member here has had many issues with this company and he lost a large sum of money , i think he has waited now about 5 years for a glass front clip that will never be seen .
I would like to know how rob stays in business this long while taking good folks money . Did you notice he has a few addresses , he moved from the town of bolten three years ago last i heard he was down by the toronto airport.

It amazes me they say "We can't do a cash refund, credit only". Horse hockey, if you pay by cash check credit card or money order, then they can surely return your money by the same means you paid them.
Like Ollie said, file fraud charges with the USPS against this bozo. It's mail fraud, pure and simple. The Postmaster General loves this stuff.

I wish I would have thought about that back then...

If he is in Canada there is nothing the USPS can do. Sending money to another country is risky.

I bought a 1-off fiberglass hood from the same guy seven years ago. He wanted the money up front. I had one HE!! of a time getting the hood. I finally had to threaten his sorry A$$ with some visitors from Mississagua. Goons for sure-ay. ;0) Got my hood 3 weeks later.
