Well in my quest to completely restore the front end on my '73 TA I began examining the firewall the other day to see what other improvements I could make and I noticed that one of the brackets that the inner fender whell bolts to (to attach to the body) was bent oddly. I took it off the car and compared it to the other one and found they were mismatched. Someone had used the wrong one and had just put a heck of a bend in the sheetmetal lip on the body to make it work

So, I'm hoping someone can help with this one. I want to get the correct part. I need the one off the driver's side. The bracket is bolted to the body by four bolts and is easy to get to if the fender is off. If someone has one of these let me know. If someone has access to a 73 parts car let me know. I'm guessing this bracket is prob going to still be there on 99% of parts cars.

Here's a pic of the two brackets I pulled off my car:

The correct one is the one on the left and is the passenger side bracket.

Here is a pic of the passenger side bracket still on the car so you know which bracket I'm talking about.

As you can see its very low on the body. The two rear-most bolts on the inner fender whell bolt to this bracket. TIA...

Disregard this post. Turns out I had the right pair of brackets after all. Someone, at some point, decided to put a bend in the drivers side bracket to match a bend that was in the lip on the firewall that the bracket bolted to......instead of just taking the bend out of the bracket.
