WL is the code for a 3-speed manual 455HO. There were a few A-bodies built like that but no TAs (not sure on formulas). If your TA is a manual it should be an M22 and the block code would be WC.

Something else to take into consideration, there are 3 different block casting numbers for '71 production 455's.

Steve V, do you know what T/A that block came from? The reason I ask is that I have a T/A with an incorrect WC and am always looking for the one, I know it is a long shot. Thanks, Lynn

I haven't run the PHS on it but the vin stamping ends with 109873. It'd be great to get it back with the car it came from.

Old post I know but I just picked up a WC 455 HO with VIN ending N105780. Like to find the owner of the car so he can buy it for the car it was born in.
