Since the mods heavily edited my post in the pontiac business exchange section, I am posting here.......
If you click on the link of my post, you'll see the E-Bay ad for some Olds gages and NOS sending units.......
http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=595754
The auction didn't meet reserve, I contacted him regarding the senders as they are the same for Pontiac with Rally gages.
We made a deal, I received senders and the temp sender showed up bead-blasted and with distorted wrench flats.....obviously a used part....this made the oil sender suspect and under careful observation discovered it had signs of being used also.....besides that, the P/N is rollmarked right into the oil sender housing and was the wrong P/N......not what he had advertised and not what we agreed to.....
Mind you, these are electrical parts, extremely hard to find in NOS condition, and worth next to nothing in used condition due to the fact they are failure-prone over time......
I called him immediately after opening the box and discovering the 'bogus' senders...he said to send them back and he would give me my money back.
I took pics of the parts, re-boxed them and shipped back to him via FedEx.......I did NOT insure them, nor was a sig required for the package......
FedEx delivered, I got the tracking confirmation that they were left on the front porch at like 1:30 that afternoon......
He denies getting the package....I contact FedEx, they do an investigation and personally talk to the route drive who confirms leaving the box on the front porch at Martino's house.
Martino NOT ONCE EVER acknowledged sending me mis-represented parts....simply hangs his hat on the fact I sent them back uninsured , and no sig required and how could I do such a thing?????
After about two weeks, he decides to send me the right P/N oil sender (appears NOS), but I have my doubts, at least a better paint job this time, and another temp sender......this time the temp sender has been bead-blasted, then wire brushed, like on a bench grinder........small traces of teflon tape in one spot on the threads....another reconditioned piece......pawned off as NOS......LOL.
Now he tells me I am "too picky".....what a thief and a crook........
