I am collecting more parts and getting ready to start back up on my 65 lemans convert. While trying to finish my 73 TA tribute and sell.
65 Lemans convert mom bought new most body work done just a little more then prime and block.
Frame off build
98 LS1 Comp cam 228/560 lift approx
S&P modified F body oil pan
CPT(Art Carr)Built up 2004r with thier 10" converter Left over from another project and never used
Edelbrock headers
Ford 9"
Spectra Modified stock fuel tank for EFI (one of the last 2 left available from Rock auto glad I looked in time)
eibach springs
bilstien shocks
Hotchkis front and rear sway bars
Hotchkis lower rear trailing arms
UMI adjustable uppers rear
Hotchkis front steering linkage set
Moog ball joints
polygraphite bushings
I have all this I have been collecting so far need to decide on brake Probably going to go with the CPP 13" big brake kit is complete and price is very fair.
also need to decide on the type of steering box I am going to use to(Ratio, variable, etc)
I am getting very excited in about a week I will play with mocking the engine in to see how it will fit.
I am also going to run AC in it so vintage or the classic direct fit they both have separate heating and cooling coils which is better.
Not messing with the body though leaving all emblems down to the gills and LEMANS on the qtr's. but GTO hood.
Interior is undecided at this point stock buckets or 04+GTO seats but no matter how I modify the front seat brackets the seats still sit about 3-4 " too high for me(looks)
I will update in the next week or so with some pics of the loot and the car
been waiting to do this for a very long time the ol girl has been very patient with me and it is her time to have a makeover.
Designing to be an updated version of an already perfect car and be a super comfy driver not having to worry about carburation issues, stinky exhaust, cold blooded and whatever else. plus the kicker 22+MPG and over 100+ pounds lighter in the front
