I read a few posts today with differences between the buyers and sellers of products and services for our Pontiacs. Owning my own businesses tells me the customer is always right, unless the customer expectations are greater then the suppliers willingness to fulfill the expectations. I've had more then one customer complain to me when in turn I thought I went above and beyond. The last customer complaint came from a restorer that was looking for a set of D-port heads. I had a good set of cores and I advised him to replace the valves and guides. When the customer said " Just freshen the heads" which I did, then complained of a bit of blue smoke coming from oil leaking down past the valve in one cylinder after installation. The customer didn't pay that much for the heads, but both of us walked away feeling the other guy got the better deal. Sometimes trying to save a buck cost both the buyer and he seller more then they bargained for.
