This is a 65 2 door hard top that was purchased by a lady upstate and was kept by her until she couldn't drive anymore. In the last two years it has had a couple of owners that fooled around with the car and tired of it.
Here is what we know of the car. It has 38K miles on it. Needs no floor or trunk work, no engine or trans repairs and no rocker panel work. The underside is rusty and is mostly the usual scally crap that one would find on a vehicle of this year from the north east. Interior is in really great shape. One tear in the drivers seat, padded dash is perfect, deluxe steering wheel has only one small (hardly noticeable) crack, headliner is perfect, rugs need a good shampoo. The package tray needs to be replaced. Rear window must leak on the drivers side which is where the damage is. Doors/all glass are perfect. Paint I would say is driver quality. Someone has obviously repainted some of the white but you can't tell until you get real close (3 feet) in the right light. Someone has had the front off and did not put it back on correctly so the fenders need to be aligned. One small ding in the dr rear qtr. We have the original build sheet. The engine is a 389 with a 2bbl carb. It starts quick and idles extremely quiet.
It will need the two rear lower quarters repaired or replaced. Someone attempted a repair on the p/s and it needs to be fixed. Photos can be seen on this link: http://s263.photobucket.com/albums/ii143/wogden/Catalina/
We are selling this for $5500. From our research this is a fair price for such an unusual find. PM me with any inquiries. Thanks Walt
