purchased a set of electric cut outs from dave at dmh performance last year. they were great and i had a blast with them. called dave to tell him they started to leak a bit. No prob he says. had a batch of bad seals and to send them back at the end of the driving season. called again to confirm. sent them 6 weeks ago. no confirmation. no returned phone calls, or emails. did not send them with insurance or return receipt requested. DUH!!
Has anyone else used DMH recently? I want to give him the benefit of the doubt before I take further action.
he came recommened from some others on this site.
thanks

As I recall, Dave is a small business man and often times hard to reach (like Rodney Red). Hang in there and he'll take care of you.

so he actually answered the phone a few weeks ago. he assured me he has new cut outs for me that are a lower profile, and he will do an even xchange. He read my address and phone back to me and said they are going out by the end of the week. that was 3 weeks ago! No answer on his phone or response from my repeated emails. I think i got shanked here! BEWARE.

so nothing yet!! I actually was able to get him on the phone about a month agao. he hasnt answered any emails. Phone is usually busy, but sometimes you can leave a message. Well, he actually answered about a month ago. Told me he was getting my new set out to me by the end of the week. Was very friendly and forthcoming. Come on man! There is a 4 year warranty, and these things leaked about 2 months into it. I purchased these based on the feedback from this and other forums.
Anyone else have a similar problem?
I think I am out over $300 and now have a LOUD exhaust that I will need to repair.
Any advice?

OK, so I finally got the cut outs back. Dave exchanged my 3 " units for a slick new set of low profile oval electric cut outs. Took a while, but I finally got them. He honored his warranty. They are beautiful. Work of art, really. I hope they do not leak.
