I had an issue on my RobbMc starter I got on the group buy last year where the pinion gear came loose. I sent it in and Robb said he couldn't find any reason for this to happen. He repaired ittested it and sent it back no charge even though the warantee was up.

He did the same for me on a Ford starter I bought from him a few years back. Pinion gear kept sliding out when running. He said send it in and if it was a defective part he would fix it free and send it back. Or at worst he would have to fix it at the cost of parts.
Try that with any of the big name guys. Most wouldn't even want to look at fixing them out of warranty. Even if it was on your dime.
Also had my Pontiac fuel pump upgraded and added a regulator and he had no problem answering my stupid questions with that.
