I have been trying to get a bolt on fibergalss trucklid for my '66 GTO....only pin ons available. I contacted Jean @ VFN and they agreed to make one for me if I supplied the trunk lid. Found one in the PY classifieds. Goatmanmitch had one for $200. I told him I'd give him $100 & travel to Erie to pick it up (4 hr round trip). I had mentioned to Mitch that a friend had a camp in Presque Isle (about 6 miles from him). Friend fell through. I called Mitch and showed up at his house on a Saturday. He was surprised that I drove all that way and gave me $50 back! (Thanks Again, Mitch). I crated the steel trunklid up and sent it off to VFN. 7 weeks later...trunk lid is done. I told Jean to hold on to it..I wanted to have them do a hood as well (shipping 2 pieces at the same time will save me $$). I couldn't decide which of the 2 larger SD scoops to use. Jean was kind enough to send them both to me for just the shipping charges. I tried them both and decided on a 6" cowl induction hood. Contacted Jean again and was informed that the 6" was a custom unit that started w/ a flat hood and the 6" scoop was installed (custom work).
Fast forward 6 weeks and the hood is done. When I inquired as to what I owed for the hood and the truck lid...thay said the truck lid was free...No charge! Hood AND trunklid for $725! Jean was GREAT to work with! CUDOS for a great product, GREAT Customer Service and GREAT Customer Appreciation. CUDOS to Goatmanmitch as well...GREAT PY Member and Pontiac Guy! I HIGHLY reccomend doing business with them both!
