Just a heads up, but I bought some parts from a guy (nice guy) north of the border. We agreed on cost of parts "shipped" and the US put a 40$ import tariff or tax on the stuff once it got here. UPS is trying to get me to pay. I told them to go to the shipper for the money - outcome is still in flux a little.

All duty and fee's are usually the buyer responsibility, we get stung with it every time we buy a part from south of the border. Another reason we don't use UPS, postal service is best for duty cost's.
So much for free trade.

Avoid using UPS across the Canadian border. Their fees are very high. Better to use post office air mail service if possible.

You never ship to of from US/Canada with UPS or Fedex. They have handling fees no matter the value or description of item shipped. A 5$ item will have a 15-20$ handling fees.

How yo dou think UPS and Fedex makes money? USPS and Canada Post are tax-funded, government agencies. They dont care about as much for customs and handling fees. Unless items are taxable.

You have to know what do to when you ship to US from here.... Believe me. I've been dealing car parts for YEARS without any issues. I know how to do it.

Ya, every freakin' time, I get screwed by UPS. I'm resigned to the fact that if I really need a part, I'll get dinged. Meanwhile, all the shipper has to do is write "antique auto parts, made in USA" on the waybill. I stress this to every ebay seller, but they never do it.

UPS means "U Pay, Stupid.
