Why pre register for The Indian Uprising All Pontiac Weekend?

Simple- when you arrive at the show grounds, all you have to do is give them your name and you in. You avoid all the lines and get to move right to the show field

http://cruisintigers.com/our-show.html

Also, we are starting to see reservations at our host hotel a a lot earlier than usual. If you planning an overnight stay, the Hilton is on the show grounds and there is a special rate. Just mention the Cruisin' Tigers Indian Uprising to get the room rate.

Jim Mattison of Pontiac Historical Services will be a guest speaker on Sunday. We've had Jim attend a show many years ago and the seminar room was packed.

Don Keefe will be a guest speaker at the show on Sunday. Don has become a favorite person to talk to at the show. We're glad to have him back again this year.

As always, Jim Wangers who is a good friend of the Cruisin' Tigers will speak on Sunday.

Each of the above special guests will scour the show field Sunday looking for their favorite car which will get an award as a celebrity pick!

The Jim Wangers GTO Celebration - Celebrating 50 years of GTO's

12:00 Saturday during our show. We're putting together a huge gathering of all year GTO's. We'll celebrate with Jim as he selects GTO's that he feels best represent the hobby. He'll hand out FIVE personally autographed trophies and a few other surprises too.

Even the greatest ideas in the world never made it big because of the lack of marketing. Jim Wangers was the man that made us all feel like we wanted to to own one. We cant think of a better person to celebrate the anniversary of the cars that drive our passion in the hobby.

Be there or be square!

Seriously though, registration is WAY up, sponsor money is right on target for our goals, all events are set in stone and the show is almost ready to go. With all the f-body cars that should be there as the feature car, Ill bet we break 450 cars on Sunday and 400 cars at the cruise night on Saturday.

Lasts year our specialty car was Fiero. We were lucky to get one every year. Last year we got 33!! With the Firebird being the second most popular car at the show, the turnout should trump GTO's which is always has the biggest turnout.

Our very own Matt Planning (otherwise know to the usual suspects as Enginear) is sponsoring the show in a new way.

Matt will hand out a special award for the longest driven Pontiac to @ in the show and along with that, the winner will also get a RediRad so they can plug in any mobile music device into their stock Pontiac radio. Cool stuff!

Whats a RediRad? www.rediscoveradio.com

Driving a long way to The Indian Uprising? You may just be a lucky winner in less than 5 weeks.

Just a heads up. We are over the top with pre-registration. That's good thing!

It also consides with all the other things that are coming in higher than normal. Like vendors, hotel requestes, swap requests and loads of questions via email and phone calls. The point here is that this thing is showing sights eveywhere of being the biggest Uprisng in our clubs history.

Avoid the long registration lines and pre register online so you can fly right on to the show field. It's only $20. We're expecting at least 450 cars this year.

In the past years I seen people either put there car in the show or in there vending spot when trying to sell a car. It's probably easier in the vending area though.

Swap space is free and you can take as much space as you need as long as you are selling used parts. No need to pre register for that. First come , first served on that area of the show. We also have enough staff to direct you to where ever you want to go on the show grounds which includes trailer parking. The show is on one big flat area of land (roughly 12 acres), so its pretty easy to see where everything is. Sponsor/vendor area is right in the heart of the show near the indoor arena. Food is in the same area as well.

Another great-weather day here in the upper mid-west. While we are silver sponsors of the show, we are not exhibitors.

Instead, and in the spirit of Norwalk last weekend, the mighty 64 Tempest (Ramblin' Rose) brought me (and, unlike last weekend) and Mrs. Engine-Ear reliably.

Another round of meeting PY and Classical Pontiac friends, seeing some truly beautiful iron behind us for today.

The weather tomorrow is said to equally-superb. So if you're within a couple hour's drive of St. Charles, fer cripe's sake, get in your Freedom Machine and get to the DuPage County Expo center.

See you HERE!

Yesterday was a glorious day for a pre show. Some really great cars in and around to name a few.

Inside was full of beasts! A 69 TA vert, 69 Judge RA IV CR 4 speed with a companion 69 Judge 4 speed vert LB on Blue with a retractable rear attena.

Nice array of TAs line a row including a 72 TA 4 speed survivor LB with deluxe Blue with very low miles. Fire hawks, Bandits, Early birds and built up ones too.

Expect over 400 cars today big show. Leaving with my Sundance Formula soon.

Unbelievable. The 24th Annual Indian Uprising goes in the books as a monster success. 452 Pontiacs all on the same field. Tons of money raised for children's charity and a lot of happy faces walking around the Dupage Expo Center. It just doesn't get any better.

A very sincere thank you to all everyone who supported the show and made it such a success!

We talked crap about everyone. Didn't matter if they were there or not;). Right Jim. The award winning yellow car was really looking good today

Alright Craig your right we did talk crap about everyone and had fun at there expence.I had a great time so did the two newbie's I brought with me who said that they will be back next year with friends with Ponhcos. My only regret was not trying the Home brew of Applecider, but I had a long drive home. Maybe next year when I bring the Yellow car I'll come a day earlier so that I can have some. How many SD-455 car's did you see there ?

Here are some pics I took. Not a complete representation of the event, but just some stuff I stopped to photograph.

Jim, yours was the only SD at the show. Sad thing is there are no less than 8 SD cars within 10 miles of this show and none of them came out.

Ahhh, once you've seen one yellow SD, you've seen them a.....wait, there's one more. ;)

Looks like a great show, thanks for the pics!

I will say one thing about Jim's 1974 455SD Formula.

That's a survivor car! Original paint, original paint on engine, and never out of bay!

Plus he drove it from Wisconsin and shared the documentation on this beauty. Still has the knock outs from spare keys from GM! All the pieces that came from factory and a dealer emblem on trunk!

Best of show would have been my award!

BTW: Tim makes good apple pie!

I didn't stay for awards again. My bad, but it's more the cruise there and back.

Glad to see a 70 Judge getting the top award!

Big show brought some great cars and better people!
