Putting the 565 into my 65 over the weekend, ran into a couple of problems.

1. The Moroso 8 quart pan is practically laying on the cross member and there is no clearance for the passenger inner tie rod.

2. The 2.00" Hedmann headers are not clearing the frame at all on the center exhaust ports both sides.

I'm thinking of making some spacers to help raise the motor up a little to help clear these before taking a BFH to them. I've got some 1/8" and 1/4" that I can fab up to try. Make sense or any other suggestions? The trans isn't in the car yet so no big deal pulling the motor back in and out a couple of times trying. Hoping this also won't alter the pinion angle enough to hurt anything when I set that later and that the trans will still clear the stock tunnel with the ultra bell that's on it.

There is someone selling sets of motor mount spacers to do exactly what you're talking about in the performance parts section as we speak so I'd say that it must work. Look there for the info, I cant remember if he uses 1/8 or 1/4 but I think its 1/4.
