Credit where credit is due, an then some!
Ordered the round A arm bushings from Summit for my 68 GTO and when I got it broke down realized that it took the oval lower bushings.
Called them up, spoke to Nova, explained to her I had soiled my Huggies.
I expected to pay shipping for the return and just wanted credit towards the correct bushings, after all it was totally my fault and made this clear to Nova.
I was informed the correct bushings would ship within 1-2 days (at no charge), and to keep the other bushings as it was not cost effective to get them back.
That's when I realized they were absorbing the cost of the return.
Again I offered to send the items at my expense, after all it was my bust, my offer was refused.
So in return I'm giving them their Credit where credit is due!

Good experiences lately, I bought a Fitech fuel pump that was bad out of the box. They discounted the Summit pump I wanted to replace it about $40 bucks so it was about the same price. I didn't even ask for that.
A few months ago, I impulsively bought a torque converter while I was in Summit's Tallmedge store (which is two and a half hours from home) and soon after decided I wasn't going to use it. I called to return it and after she explained the refund process, I added 'minus shipping, of course'. She said that I had purchased a lot from them lately (which I had) and they would cover shipping.
I've never had a bad experience with them.

Yea they have went further than I thought I could push them before, I order 90% of everything I can from them from spark plugs to suspension parts for years now. Every now and then i'll slip "Jegs" a little something also.

I always love how they ask you how you got their phone number and heard about them when you make a phone purchase. I always say I’ve been calling you for over 20 years and 35 cars 😂

Found my brake kit for over 40 dollars less on amazon and they beat the price with no hassle. 99% of places I have found will not price match amazon so I was really surprised. I haven’t ordered anything from kegs in years and I guess it will stay that way. Occasionally I get the odd part from speedway

Summit is great, there shipping is very fast also. Huge inventory. I had 3 bad experiences with Jegs, I will NEVER use Jegs again.

I had a lesser experience with price matching at Summit.
I was buying more speaker boxes from Ames for $13. Just hated to pay more for shipping.
I saw that Summit had them but they were $26. When I asked if they would price match, they of course wanted the link. I provided that and the response I got was "we don't have that in stock so we "can't" price match it"
When I pointed out they never have it in stock because it says right on their website they order it from the manufacture and drop ship it, then the reply was "well we simply "won't" price match it"
Of course they took my money right away but when I pulled the order and wanted a refund, they just gave that to me this morning. This has been going on for 2 weeks, lol.
Otherwise I like Summit and dealt with them for decades without complaint. I just don't expect anything to come from their price match advertising though, lol.

I just responded to this type of post on the HAMB !
I have ben buying from the original Summit since 1978 when they were in a little strip mall kind of building on Gilcrest rd in Akron. They have been getting at least 10G per year from me ever since. At least 95% of my purchases (whether at the store or mail order) have gone perfectly & being that I am only 2 hours away from the store, when shipped it arrives the next day. The few times I had a problem it was resolved immediately.
They have recently added DX Engineering to their group which is good for us, because we are also hams!
God Bless & Happy New Year

Ordered a roller engine stand from Summit. Showed up and had obviously been opened and returned. Scratches on the metal and 3 bolts/nuts missing. No big deal. I go to the local hardware store and I'm out an additional $1.80. I send a comment to Summit, they automatically send me a $25 gift card for summit and in 3 days, the company the stand came from sent me a bag of nuts and bolts for the stand. I was mildly surprised. Still annoyed that I got a returned item that had not been re-packaged but I feel Summit did an outstanding job of handling my piss-offedness.
