Not really a crazy or new idea - Pontiac v8 into 67-72 GM trucks (73-87 as well) is not an unheard of swap. I've seen a couple of swapped trucks for sale in my area in the past year. I'm sure there are threads on this site and/or the 67-72 trucks forum regarding this if you do a search.

Contact Paul Spotts in PA, he is working on a similar project.

Yes! As soon as I finish assembling my 389 I plan on dropping it in my 67 Burban.
Here's some threads that should help.

There is more information on this swap over on the 67-72chevytrucks.com forum.

Love it !! Lots of torque and a Pontiac in Chevy . Believe it or not Intyre early 60s it was very common to pull a Chevy and drop in a Pontiac in drag cars too my uncle had a vette w a Pontiac and it wasn't an uncommon car at the track

Pretty easy
I used clamshells and brackets out of a 73 up truck and the motor mounts from a 71-76 full size Pontiac
