Tires are 18.4x16.1 2-ply pullers on 18" wide rims, double-cut lugs. 9" Strange 3rd member with billet 4340 4-pinion differential, 5.0 U.S. Gear ring & pinion, Strange 31 spline axles, and torque arm to a crossmember, independent disc brakes. Would need a rollbar added. In Phelps NY. $3,500.

Mostly complete. Good '41 Ford pickup title in my name. No rear fenders, but if you are not super concerned about originality, fiberglass fenders are pretty cheap from Speedway. Hood trim does not appear to have any damage and I think it will polish up well enough for anything other than a show truck. The dash trim and gauges appear to be good. It also has a pretty nice vintage heater under the dash. Good black seat that fits pretty well but does not appear to be original to the truck. I also have what I believe to be the correct seat and underneath the cheap vinyl covers it appears to have been upholstered with a blue and white mexican blanket. The doors and hood appear to be pretty good. The fenders, box, and tailgate have some pretty easily repairable rust. The cab floor is the only rust that is bad, in my opinion. The glass is pretty good, although the windshield does have small scratches that you don't notice until you're up close. The gas tank appears to be good. It does not have a radiator. The running gear is from a 1936 Ford car. The frame has a couple spots on the top of the main rails that need repaired and it is pitted. The motor is basically complete, but stuck. The transmission goes into 2 amd 3, but won't go into R and 1. I had the top off this summer and it did not really look bad inside. The rearend has spacers in place of the center housing piece, so it can roll around fine (it had a stuck pinion). Wide 5 wheels. The rear drums are good. Somebody broke the front drums (I assume they were locked up). What is in the pictures is what I have. I had big dreams because I always wanted one of these, but after I set it together I figured out I'm too big to drive it comfortably. That is the only reason it is for sale.

It has a clean ***le in my name. It was restored years ago (I'm guessing in the '80s or '90s). The restoration shows it's age, but it is still a fun car to take for a Sunday drive. It now has a 1929 motor and transmission. I am told that this motor and transmission has low miles on an overhaul. It certainly runs and drives consistent with that. The mice got into the interior at some point prior to my owning it, so there are a couple holes at the edge of the headliner and one at the bottom of the rear seat. With the exception of the holes I mentioned, the interior is great as it was completely redone back when it was restored. All the fluids and battery were replaced this spring. The front wheel bearings were also repacked. This is a very solid car. The only rust of note is at the bottom right side of the cowl. It really doesn't look bad. But there are a few spots grouped together that a person may want to nip in the bud before it becomes an issue. The top appears to have shrunk up from age and it had pulled loose from several of the fastening points on that front molding. I wrapped the front edge with gorilla tape and pulled it as much as I could before refastening the molding (you can see what I mean if you zoom in on the first photo). To be nice a person would want to replace the top. I moved the seat back 7" because I am a big guy. But, it can be moved back the way Henry built it just by unbolting my brackets. As I said in the beginning, this is not a show car. But, it is a pretty nice car that a person could get into the hobby on a budget.

I left it gritty, but have all screws and fittings loosened up, so nothing is broke on it, just needs a cleaning. I guess they’re pretty rare, seeing as how the Flatheads were already dinosaurs by the time most these Sun machines were made. I don’t know much about them , so had to look up past sales. They went from $150-375. The $150 one had pieces missing, so I figured I’d ask $150 to get it gone.
