I went to start my 69 after sitting for several weeks with a trickle charger installed. When I turned the key nothing, no clicks or anything. After some time with the battery on a charger still nothing. Ended up jumping the car with a marine battery. I drove the car for 2 hrs and parked it back in the garage. I tried to start it again and same story. When I got out I noticed the tail lights were on but not the parking lights. I cycled the head light switch numerous times and the tail lights remained on. I have noticed on several occasions that with the parking lights on that it would do the same thing, no clicks from the starter. I thought it may be in the key switch and have tried to wiggle it while in the start mode and nothing!! I have the battery disconnected now while trying to figure out where to start or what the problem may be?? Anyone out there have any clues??? I find it hard to believe the tail lights would have any affect on getting power to the starter!! Thanks!!
