I would like to change my username, is this possible?

i dont know why but i always have to enter my username and pass twice before i am logged in. After the first time it welcomes me by my username but when the forum comes up my name is not there, I have to do it again, my posts do not show up after I post them either. I always clear the cache on the pc when I turn off. not sure what is happening.
