Disc Brake Kit for a 1967 Pontiac GTO.
Been a visitor to this site for over 10 yrs. & now need some help, info. I have a 1967 GTO convertible, 400 motor, TH400 trans., all stock. I do have 15" Torq Thrust wheels on it. Stock brakes are drums, all the away around. I am an older guy, & not much of a mechanic, so I "farm out" most all my mechanical needs. I would like to covert my front drum brakes to disc brakes. What I'm asking about is what "kit" would be the best/easiest to install (without requiring many "alterations"). I have gone to the Performance On Line site & found a disc brake kit for my specific car, for around $661.00. Have any of you used this brand brake "kit", if so, do you recommend it? Is there another brand kit that you would recommend over POL's? I'm just trying to find the most suitable, easiest to install kit, to convert mr srums, to discs, for weekend cruising type driving. Any info., or help, you can provide, will be appreciated. Thanks.
