Jim, Thanks for the info. I guess I was misinformed. That is fine I will still be happy. I am sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused. I appreciate you setting me straight and still look forward to the final product. I plan on making the short trip up to your shop when it's all said and done.

Kyle,
I just read a post you put up. I'm afraid you're quoting someone else. I never use a cam that big for a street motor, nor compression that high. The engine I've used to discuss the potential with you was Tom Worral's 434. 500 RWHP is a tall order. 600 flywheel translates to about 450 or so. In a manual trans application, MAYBE 475.
The 500 HP level we've been talking about with the porting and cam is flywheel. Probably more like 550, but not 600. Compression ratio is right at 10.3;1, ideal for 93 octane.
Sorry for any misunderstandings. This "RWHP" thing is relatively new to us oldsters. Unless otherwise specified, GBHP is the common reference. Not to worry, though. This "thing" will still be just that, a BEAST.
Be prepared for someone to call "BS" on the post. It is a little far-fetched. Handle it however you think is best. I don't post out here anymore and my throat has long-since been cut. It's okay.
Jim
