Hi Rick. No, I never did get the SP set up into a trans. Shortly after buying the set up, my son started working at Hughes Performance Transmissions in Phoenix and I got a smoking deal on a built trans that someone never picked up.
I've got 5 7 inch long Crower billet rods with newer crower bolts 80 passes. Std Pontiac big end with 30 over 428 full floaters piston I think there Ross pop up domes for 13 to 1 compression on a 72 cc heads. all add the other 3 rods/pistons 80 passes on everything 500.00 leave me a private message if your interested and I can tell you more about the set
Ryan nice to meet you. Thanks for sending those pics. really got me thinking about my old '57. I just moved down here to Phoenix from Wisconsin (I see you're in MN) and I'm scouting old Pontiacs. I put an offer on a '60 Star chief but he could not go down that low. I still have to get out to Steve Barceks old car yard before he moves up north, maybe he has a '57. I was out sight seeing in an old back road Sunday and a car club rally was going on. There was a 4dr hardtop '57 in blood read and with top driving witht he bunch. Then I see yours and I'm starting think someone higher up may be sending me a message. Heh! In looking at your little pic onthe postings it lamost looks like your grill is an old gasser fuel tank in your grille. That is what made me think of yours as a gasser. Anyway thanks for the info and making my week. Hope you get it done and when you do make sure we see it. I'd love to see how it comes out. Mark L
