    Steve, I agree. Didn't bite on the newer tranny. Mine work's fine & no more leak's so am happy with it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!! John

    Hi Steve, Thanks for the info yesterday. I did call the guy we talked about & he said the same thing you did about it being a four speed but couldn't give me the particular's or detail's you did. What he suggested was to swap out the tranny & put a more modern one in it's place. However he also said I'd need to swap out the engine as well since it's a '62 & doesn't have the proper starter mount to accept the later tranny's. The motor is rebuilt & not really in the mode of finding & restoring another motor. The current tranny works' well, it's just the leak's that are a problem. Two are repaired already & the third will be fixed today. Nothing major & will be operational without spending a ton of $'s. Thing's are looking up!!!
    Thanks again for the info & hope you have a great day. Stay cool. It's supposed to be 90 with high humidity in the mix here for today. I'm hibernating in the AC!! Good thing I got AC in the GP too. John
