    Bill, thank you very much. I know how to remove the wire, and I already did. I have a Snap On wire tool I use. while under the dash I saw two brown wires going into a single RED spade connector. I looked at the manual but can't fine where it goes. It's not hooked up to anything which might be simply because it's for something the factory didn't install in the car. The thing that's odd, is it is factory, and the only red connector in the dash harness. Again, thank you Bill, and best wishes. Mike

    The purple wire went out in todays mail.

    Let me know if you don't know how to remove the old wire by sticking a pin into the plastic connector.

    Its Tom with the 66 reef turquoise gto from Coram.I didn't realize the Pontiac show was Sunday.I stop by for a couple of minutes but had to get home so I didn't even walk the whole show.was there a 70 or 71,72 trans am parked near your car??I seen a white one as I was leaving and wished I had time to check it out.How was that car and what year was it??I bought and a 72 trans am that I'm restoring and would have loved to have seen the car up close.please let me know if you checked it out and what you thought of the car.Thanks,Tom
