Thanks so much! I’ve been planning this TV lift for ages but couldn’t find a trustworthy actuator supplier in AU. Progressive Automations looks perfect, and it’s great to know they’ve got heavy-duty models that work for this kind of thing. Ordering soon!

Oh, I’ve actually done this exact thing in my living room! I built a pop-up TV cabinet and needed something strong, but also smooth and quiet. I went with a 12 volt actuator from https://progressiveautomations.com.a...near-actuators and it’s been running like a dream. They’ve got models that can handle up to 200–300 lbs depending on your setup, and you can control the speed and stroke length to make it as smooth as you want. I also bought their remote control kit, which made wiring it up super easy. What’s great is they ship out of Australia, so I didn’t have to wait weeks for shipping or deal with import headaches. The site made it easy to pick the right model based on the TV’s weight and the lift height I needed. Definitely give them a go if you want something clean and reliable for a custom TV lift.

I’m planning to build a motorized lift for a large flat-screen TV that pops up from inside a cabinet. The weight is a concern, so I want something with decent force but smooth movement. Any advice on which actuators would work best for something like this?
