HI Rick, Thank you! I have stock suspension HD. I'm using KYB gas adjust all the corners. My wheels are 15" x 6" , not sure of the offset?. My car originally came with H70X15 Red Line Wide Ovals. I'm using 235/70/15, no rubbing. Haven't tried them with fender skirts yet. Scott

Have not even checked it out yet. I'm pretty sure it's a open rear

    Alan,

Thanks for the information. If you have a pic, that would be great.
I'll take a look on the Pypes site.
Is your exhaust 2 1/2" from the header to the tail pipe or did you go with a 2 1/4" tail pipe?
    Have a great new year.

    Rick,

I was very pleased with the RARE system. I did put it on myself, just to get a system on the car so it would have exhaust. I used band clamps on it initially, to get everything connected up. It was somewhat of a pain because I don't have a lift, so I did it all laying on my back under the car. The painful part of that was the cutting of the pieces that join at the "X" in the middle. Took me several tries to get it to fit right, and consequently I had to crawl under the car lots of times to fit the pieces. The other down side is that I was working under the car, in a two car garage, so I couldn't really get a good eyeball on all the alignment. So, after the car was almost done, I did take it to a place so they could put it up on a lift and get everything lined up better than what I was able to do laying on my back. Some of the clamps in the middle are still there, and then the tail pipes and tips are all welded.
I used the Goerlich (sp?) mufflers, which were recommended by the RARE guy I talked to on the phone. As far as the drone, it was kinda loud at first, but then I kinda got used to it. I like the sound at 55 and above, and at idle, so I just live with the drone in between. Honestly, I don't pay much attention to it any more. I just got used to it. When I get in that car, I kinda know what to expect, and I don't mind hearing some exhaust noise. If it's going to bother you, then another muffler might be better for you. Not sure exactly which one. I have heard that the Dynomax Turbo mufflers are supposed to be quieter.
On the tailpipe tips, I went back and forth on that for a while, and I ended up going with the tips available from Pypes, that have a short radius rounded turn down with sort of a slash cut. I'm totally happy with that decision. Turned out exactly like I wanted. Was not in love with the turn down tips that came with the RARE system, even though they are probably closer to factory than what I put on. Would have been ok, but I just really preferred the look of the Pypes tips. I can take a close up pic of them if you like. If you search on the Pypes website, you should find their turn down tips on there.
Let me know if there's any more info or help you need. Hope this helps.

    Alan
