I would just restore the radio and 8 track player to stock and run some good quality repro speakers from www.turnswitch.com. This combination along with an MP3 jack will provide more than enough sound to fill up the '73 and allow you to play hours of commercial free tunes whne you take a long road trip. Give me a call at 480-235-1964 if you want to talk to me directly. I can finish your 8 track player and radio in about 10 days. Do you have the correct harness for the radio to 8 track connection? The cost to restore the radio is $199 (AMFM mono) $249 for (AMFM stereo) 8 track player is $150 and the MP3 jack addition is $75.00. Shipping with full insurance is $45.00 for UPS ground combined. I double box each item and ship in one large well packed heavy duty box. Send the knobs/brackets/and harness and I will make sure everything works together when I finish them up. Your radio and 8 track player will sound fantastic when you get them back and all my work is warranteed for one year. Thanks, Jim

    Jim,
I am restoring a 73 TA. It has an aftermarket sanyo cassette player installed, but I have the original radio and the 8 track is still in the center console. I am building this car to look original but have slight modifications to make a nice driver, and would like good tunes. What would you suggest ?
