Hey Roger, been trying to call you. I've back to where I can drive the GTO again. If I get the chance I may try to slip over and see you sometime in the next couple of weeks. Hope things are going well for you and yours. Take care and talk to you later. Alan

    68WarDog,

Thanks for the info on Nichols. I like the costs and your recomendation. He seemed reluctant to balance and stuff the engine with a new rotating assembly. Perhaps not his thing. Did he do the rotating assembly for you or would that be done better else where. Again Thanks for the info. I have never dug this deep in an engine before. Mostly bolt ons to this point.

Roger do you happen to have the phone # for Dave Nichols Racing Engines. There is a member in South Carolina that is looking for a good engine builder and I know how good of a job they did with the machine work on the engine in your 70. Thanks and if th eweather is fit I may get the goat out and head your way. Talk to ya later. Alan

Roger Why not just run the sr on the street. I ran an UD sr on the street with those heads? 267/267- .426/.426 lobe with 1.65 rockers. .702 lift.I run lifter restricters but with a .062 oil hole for more top end oiling never a problem. I dont post much to many on that know it all. Dont need the aggrivation. I was running into the nines with a Pontiac back in the early eighties when not many were. Ill help you if you need anything else let me know. You can email me direct if you need me Ill see it quicker scott1@losch.net

Hi Roger Yes The installed height is 1.920 @200lbs and 650lbs open. To much spring for a Hyd roller. You want 145lbs installed and 350lbs max open for a Hyd roller. If you need anything else let me know.Happy holidays to you also. Scott.
