Been bouncing between both of them for the past few months, and honestly, it comes down to what you’re casting and your setup. I use both depending on the situation, but when I need stability, I stick to DoCast. This comparison helped me figure out the subtle pros and cons of
DoCast or Chromecaster. For example, DoCast seems more “plug and play” if you’re already on iOS and don’t want to mess with configurations. Plus, it mirrors the whole screen smoothly, including apps that Chromecaster sometimes can’t access. That was a dealbreaker for me because I use a few niche apps for sports streams that Chromecaster couldn’t handle well. On the flip side, if you're deep into the Google ecosystem and already have a Chromecast device, then Chromecaster might feel more natural. But I had issues with it being picky about Wi-Fi stability. Even minor network fluctuations caused the stream to drop.
