- A 69 GTO was the first car I ever owned in High School - I bought it for $350 in 1979. At the Annual "Senior Burnout" I made quite a smoke show when I used that 400 4bbl beast w/posi to smoke BOTH tires till they popped (I put my old tires on that day, the good ones were in the trunk). The FIRE DEPARTMENT was dispatched this beast made so much smoke!! People talked about if for years... Finally I bought another 69 and I am enjoying it with my two sons.
