Here is a shot of my car before I started working on it, to give you an idea of location. I would have to look to be sure, but I think the hole to the passenger side of it is for the tag light wire....

I just figured $9,300+ tax wasn't too much more and it comes with a 3 year warranty.

I have looked at aftermarket tail lights but most, if not all will not work on my truck. I don't know why but a lot of the ads say they are not compatible with the LED system on the SLT truck.
