If you're keeping it very close to stock using the original log exhaust manifolds and Y-pipe (or true duals), I wouldn't go with any new HFT cam larger than the 2800 myself. You'll only have very low...

The '71 Formula hood had the AO Smith (Ionia, MI) label on it. I haven't looked for any on the '70's hood yet, but I imagine it too is an AO Smith product.

Thanks! I forgot about the '68 #15's! They looks very similar cc-wise to the small valve '70 #16's which measured 78 cc's +/- after a minimal resurfacing. As Cliff said, don't underestimate these...

The Tempest in Post #15 is Paul Glasgo’s super quick Magnum 400 tribute. Paul’s Tempest Hardtop (called T-37 when introduced in Spring 1970) was a 350 2-bbl/ TH350 car originally, so had the gray...

General Z – With your current 0.85” tall adapter plus the 3/8”+ clearance, so 0.85” + 0.40” = 1.25” total, that is the same height difference as the stock RPM intake. Certainly that is too close for...
