The hot + wire is present at motor when key is on. Dash switch delivers the ground - to the motor. Motor case ground is there for it to continue to the park location after dash switch is turned off.....

HEI Modules

I have an aftermarket HEI distributor in my 69 Firebird. Seems like it goes thru a couple modules every year. I drive accross town and no start. change module and then starts and maybe goes 3-6...

I have a 66 GTO with a 70 GTO rear housing. Using my stock Rally I wheels no issues. If technically 1" wider, thans only 1/2" per side. Good Luck
